It's Official

Other Stuff.

The National Hockey League has the dubious distinction of being the first major sports league to cancel a season due to a labor dispute. A crowning achievement for current NHL Commissioner, Gary Bettman and NHLPA President, Bob Goodenow. Great job guys!
These men have combined to destroy a legacy that took over 100 years to build. Wonderboy Bettman stripped away all the traditions of the grand game when he took office 12 years ago and Butthead Bob has now help to create 660 new unemployment claims.
I have read numerous reports that suggest that the 2005 - 2006 season may also be in jeopardy due to the philosophical differences between the league and the players union. There are many fans that doubt that the NHL as we have known it will ever return.(Shaking my head in disgust and disbelief.)
