Question About Blogrolls

I am hoping that a more educated reader can assist me with a question.

Which is better in terms of linking to favorite or recommended pages?

Blogrolls or line links?

I have mostly blogroll links on many of my pages but I am not sure whether this actually helps me or helps the service. Aside from being able to shift and sort the links and designate those pages that have been updated recently, I am uncertain about the benefit. I have noticed some pages never display an update yet I know the author is making multiple posts each day.

Can anyone help me understand this better?

Thanks.

Hey Dave,

What exactly do you mean by "line links?" I'm not familiar with that term.

And what type of browser are you using? Do you have the browser settings set to check for newer versions of stored pages "automatically" or at every visit to that page?

Sorry Aaron,

I am not really very technical. By "line link" I mean the link code you list
Link name.
I am referring to the sidebar contents. Sorry, I really should have taken more time explaining in the post.

Hi Dave,

When linking to "favorite or recommended pages" I feel it's better to put them in one of your Links sections, which kinda sets them apart from the rest.

Use the blogroll to list the blogs you feel would be of benefit to your readers, but when there's something you feel is extra-special (favorite or recommended, for example) then add it to your link list as well.

Anyway, just my 2 pennies worth. ;) Hopefully I understood what you were asking.

Thanks Aaron. That makes sense.
